Remember the bygone days when PAPA earned $25,000 via eScrip and Safeway?  While those days may have passed, we have a new opportunity. It’s called Benefit and it has partnered with far more retailers. Benefit is an instant eGiftCard mobile app for your phone that earns Leigh High School Papa referral fees when you purchase eGiftcards with the app and use them for your personal shopping.

Here is how it works. Shop like you normally do (either online or in-store). When it’s time to check-out use the Benefit app to instantly purchase a digital gift card and redeem it at the register or online. Depending on the retailer, up to 20% of your purchase price (more likely 1-6%) will go to support Leigh High School Papa!

Benefit in action example: Todd heads to Home Depot to buy a bunch of stuff for his yard.  Todd scans the items at self-checkout and finds out that he owes $273.15. He opens his Benefit app, locates the Home Depot retailer and quickly taps “Buy a Card” and enters $273.15 as the desired amount. Within a few seconds a digital gift card appears in the app and Todd scans that barcode for payment. Benefit donates 3% of the purchase price ($8.19) to Leigh High School PAPA.  Imagine the possibilities if everyone used the Benefit Mobile App.

Benefit Mobile App Setup and Use 

1. Setup.
   1. Download the Benefit App for iPhone or Android.  Open the App and Follow the prompts to create an account.
   2. Add Leigh High School Papa as a Beneficiary.
      1. Select Beneficiaries from the app menu.
      2. Search non-profits for Leigh High School Papa. 
      3. Select the General Fundraiser Campaign.
   3. Link your Bank Account or Credit Card to the App
      1. Note: Linked Bank Accounts give back 2-3% more than Credit Cards.
2. Using Benefit Mobile.
   1. Purchase eGiftCards inside the Benefit App and use them for your purchases either in store or online.
