Current fundraisers in progress:
Leigh High School’s Performing Arts programs are supported through a combination of family and personal contributions and a series of fundraisers. The quality of Leigh’s programs would not be possible without the financial support of its families and community.
Personal Contributions
These are usually made to PAPA for a specific program such as Marching Band, Winter Guard, Drama, or Choir. Contributions provide for additional instruction, trips, performance uniforms and costumes, and more. Donations can also be made to PAPA’s General Fund, which benefit all Performing Arts programs at Leigh High School. All PAPA contributions are tax deductible as allowed by law. Matching Donations
Check if your company will match your contribution. Make an additional donation to a specific program or the general PAPA fund through corporate matching.
PAPA Fundraisers
Rummage Sale
This event usually occurs in September, and is a very successful fundraiser for PAPA. Hold on to items you are planning to give-away and donate them to the rummage sale. This is also a great event for volunteers to assist shoppers during the day of the sale.
See’s Candy
PAPA runs a See’s Candy fundraiser before the holidays, a time when many families purchase candy boxes to use as holiday gifts, or sell to family and friends.
Crab Feed
The Crab Feed includes a crab dinner as well as a silent auction. This is a great community event that many in the Leigh community look forward to every year! Kids in the performing arts program have fun serving their families and family friends. This is usually held in February and 2020 marked the 30th annual event. PAPA needs many volunteers to help put this event on.
Longhorn Stampede 5K
This fundraiser benefits the entire school and brings all the booster programs together. This is an event that has the most opportunity to grow and raise MUCH more for the entire school. Consider whether you and your family will be involved as either runners or volunteers – or both – in 2020.
Individual Program Fundraisers
Several of Leigh’s Performing Arts programs do smaller fundraisers, such as bake sales, concerts, or wreath sales, to help fund those specific programs. Look for these fundraisers throughout the year for Marching Band, Drama, Winter Percussion, Winter Guard Wind Ensemble, and others.
